Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Veilframe's website, account dashboard, subscriptions, downloads, and device pairing flows. By creating an account, subscribing, or using Veilframe, you agree to these terms.
If you use Veilframe for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
The service
Veilframe is a Mac meeting workspace with local-first storage and optional hosted account, billing, entitlement, and AI features. The web app provides public pages, hosted auth, account management, billing return handling, and device pairing approval.
Some product features require the Mac app, an active account, a paid plan, an internet connection, or a configured AI provider.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or session has been compromised.
We may suspend or restrict accounts that violate these terms, create security risk, abuse the service, or interfere with other users.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed through Lemon Squeezy. Prices, renewal dates, taxes, invoices, cancellation controls, and payment methods are handled through the billing flow and customer portal.
Unless a checkout page says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Canceling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund prior charges. Refunds, chargebacks, and tax corrections are handled according to the checkout provider's policies and applicable law.
Local-first data
Your meeting library is stored on your Mac. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of local recordings, transcripts, notes, screenshots, summaries, action items, settings, and app data.
Veilframe is not responsible for loss of local data caused by device failure, operating system changes, user deletion, storage cleanup tools, or unavailable backups.
Hosted AI and fair use
On Pro, AI requests use the provider you configure in the Mac app. On Max, Veilframe-hosted AI features may process the content needed to fulfill the AI action you request.
Max includes generous hosted AI usage for normal individual productivity workflows. We may apply soft limits, hard limits, throttling, or contact you if usage is excessive, abusive, automated at unusual scale, or harms service reliability.
AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing summaries, action items, answers, and other generated output before relying on them.
Acceptable use
You may not use Veilframe to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, sessions, devices, or data without authorization.
- Probe, scan, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass service protections.
- Upload or process content you do not have the right to use.
- Use automation that harms service reliability or evades plan limits.
Device pairing
Device pairing codes are short-lived approval flows between the Mac app and the website. Only approve a pairing request if the code shown in your browser matches the code shown in your Veilframe app.
You are responsible for revoking sessions or devices you no longer recognize.
Intellectual property
Veilframe and its software, branding, website, and service design are owned by Veilframe or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Veilframe intellectual property to you.
You retain rights to your own meeting content and other materials you create or import into Veilframe.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Veilframe reliable, but the service may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable. We may update features, plans, prices, limits, or these terms as the product evolves.
If a change is material, we will provide notice through the website, app, email, or account dashboard when reasonable.
Warranty disclaimer
Veilframe is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veilframe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, or service interruption.
